AHIMSA aims at creating Bio Blocks where sustainable agricultural practices ensure food security and cultivation free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers:
- Members of farmers’ clubs meet once a month to discuss organic farming systems, input preparation, pest and disease control, drought relief and livestock management
- Farmers are familiarized with the techniques of terrace gardening, producing toxin-free vegetables, herbs and greens using limited quantities of water
- Students are motivated through nature clubs in their schools to love and protect nature. They are trained to set up nurseries, learn techniques of organic farming and cultivation of millets. They are also encouraged to spread awareness on the harmful effects of plastic among their peer groups and neighbors
