Producer Companies
The Government of India has initiated the creation of Producer Companies to help farmers sell their produce. Through these producer companies, farmers can minimize and, in some cases, eliminate middlemen while trying to find good prices for their produce. AHIMSA has been instrumental in setting up the Tamil Nadu Rainfed Farmers Producers Company in Karur, Trichy district.
The success of this producer company in Karur has spurred AHIMSA on in identifying similar suitable spots to set up more such companies. Vaiyampatti is the next in line to have a producer company. This would be set up with the support of NABARD.

Women & Agriculture
Women play a vital role in agriculture and rural livelihoods, especially in rural Tamil Nadu where they form the backbone of the farming economy. Traditionally, women have been deeply involved in activities such as weeding, harvesting, seed selection, and crop processing, contributing significantly to household income and food security.
However, with the increasing shift toward mechanized farming, many women have lost these traditional opportunities, leaving them vulnerable to poverty, migration for insecure work, and health challenges such as anemia, HIV and AIDS.

School Environment Programmes
AHIMSA’s school environment programmes are dedicated to fostering a generation of environmental stewards by reconnecting rural children with nature and sustainable agriculture.
By establishing Children’s Eco-Clubs and Model Green Schools in government institutions, the initiative provides underprivileged students with practical, hands-on experiences in biodiversity conservation, waste management, and organic farming.
