AHIMSA focuses on attaining food security through millet cultivation and has conducted various programs to promote this; some of these programs are:
- Seed banking programs to save traditional seeds and distribute them among farmers to propagate millet cultivation
- Research studies to produce better varieties of millets seeds; it has been established that the Kodo variety could grow under any climatic condition
- Millet drives, where students, farmers and villagers are educated on the nutrient value of millets, motivating the inclusion of millets in their diet
- 20 varieties of millet seeds have been saved in our seed bank
